EVENT POSTPONED TO SUNDAY 22ND AUGUST
The story behind the competition
Speak Up! was launched in 2020, thanks to an ArtsOutWest initiative, as an alternative to face-to-face eisteddfods during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was intended to raise awareness for education and cultural opportunities in rural communities by encouraging rural kids to participate in creative arts events.
The online competition is back in 2021 to continue to provide rural kids with an accessible stage to Speak Up on!
Speak Up organiser Lucy Kirk, with proud sponsors Jean Piper, Condobolin CWA President, and Western Plains Regional Development Project Officer Heather Blackley.
Support The Cause!
This year, Speak Up is raising funds for the Country Education Foundation: a national not-for-profit organisation helping rural and regional youth access education, training and jobs through grants, scholarships, support services and resources.
